Ultimate Powerball Challenge

Has anyone here heard of the Ultimate Powerball Challenge? A chap called Pax Tolosi and his work mates came up with this idea, and there's a scoreboard for it at the Powerballs.com forums.

It's a great warmup exercise, as well as a good test of endurance and speed. 30s, 1-minute rest, 60s, 1-minute rest, 90s, 1-minute rest, speed run. Must be grip-tech, and you can only use one hand. Total of all four runs gives your UPC Score.

But the meaning of this score is not well defined, an increase of 100 in 30s is not equal to +100 on speed, same for 60s..., I just have to concentrate on a good speed score at the end Smile

and a good 90s

Metal: 5142 + 8746 + 12263 + 11414 = 37565

I tried to spare some enery at the begining but it didn't give good results...

I don't think it's meant to depict anything specific. For me it's mainly just a really good warmup technique, but I think it's also excellent training for being able to maintain a good, consistent speed during an endurance run, which I think is really important. It MAKES you take it easy during the 30s, 60s and 90s runs.
