Ok Hot Mode today

So i started off with a 90s run which was around 16500 which was quite unexpected as i wasn't really trying just warming up.

I decided to concentrate on my left hand today (mostly) scores were 12809 12737 12920

Result, 13k will most probably elude me from now on

I then went onto endurance which was ok for me at first i got scores of 17192 17088 17229 and then after some persistence -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcrCw3GKhto

17486
- I sound a little tired

I'm quite "chuffed" with that tbh hopefully more to come. Non Ed Tech Score as well

as far as speed goes, which i did mostly just after a 90s (when I'm most warmed up), i got 13088 13181 13230 13159 13244 (my best today) -

So very good day for endurance and happy with speed today

Pete

Oh I don't know, I was hitting nearer 17.8k before I broke the 14k speed barrier. I guess Pete's scale, like mine, is just weighted towards endurance rather than speed.

But 14k will come pretty soon I think...in May I reckon.

You have mentioned before but I'm not the biggest person because I'm still growing and what have you so i think speed needs more strength then endurance. Thats why i find endurance easier because i can hold quite a high speed (for me) for a relatively long time.

When I'm muscularly fully developed (bout 16) I'll probably be able to do alot more in speed. Take Mark Chaplin for instance I'm only 23rpm off his 90s record but 1500rpm off his speed Confused and if i stood next to him there would be a big different in build and strength.

Also brings me to another point why is 90s called STRENGTH index when some people who are quite small can get a higher score then some people that are quite well built (bit of a arguable hypothesis sorry ) Hmm ..

Mmm May is maybe a bit early maybe June but i have overused powerball recently so it will be a rest over weekend for me and a full session on Monday geared towards speed (i don't know how im gonna gear a session towards speed but we'll see Confused). So hopefully something like 13.7K and then i can work on that the session after Cool

Like you said Pete, it must be something about the build of us younger guys that cuts us out so well for endurance... or if you look at it this way: makes us completely suck at speed! Rolling Eyes

Adren1in is just an endurance guru who has masses of slow twitch fibres suited for longer sessions, with some, lesser fast twitch fibres.

The other note to make Pete is that you are still young and your phenotype, physical make up is still developing and will not reach its full potential until 18+, but on the plus side your endurance is awsome and as you develop you can only go up up up!

I was tested when competing via a small muscle biopsy, tiny tiny tiny!! which counts the fibre types, my result was 53/47 fast twitch in favour, which is probably pretty true seeing the sports l take part in.

Top spinning Pete just keep going your time will come.

I thought you would have more slow twitch muscle fibres as you take part in endurance events, swam the channel, and thats not explosive and powerful like fast twitch muscles fibres are. But... looking at your speed record that test sounds very accurate as you are really powerful looking at your technique. Like when you spin it up you go from a normal speed to absolutely bursting with speed Shocked .. so your technique is very explosive hence thats probably why you have more fast twitch muscle fibres. I still have another few years too go when i fully develop, like Jez said, so no extreme scoring from me until I'm a proper man Cool

Any ideas where one could go to get such a test? Plus I wonder if my "Powerball Muscles" have developed as slow-twitch/endurance muscles because I do tend to do more endurance than speed? Right from the start I just found more enjoyment in either spinning the Powerball fast for long periods, or doing 90s runs, over doing speed runs.

Or was the because I have such muscles.

Bit of a chicken/egg thing really.
