Good work Master!
I think he's just busy with beating my metal record

But you're too late...Speeddelph got there first, and Akis was first (and only?) to 13k. You need 14k with the Metal!
I bet you I get to 14k with the metal.........when the fast rotor comes out! _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

Obviously, I meant that I want to be first of Obiw4n and me

I would say, "Don't you mean the first of you two and me as well?!", but I'm not going to be touching 12k on the Metal for quite some time, so I won't even try to compete. _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

And I actually decided not to train endurance with the metal anymore.
Yesterday I tried twice and the second time I heard a very weird noise. When I opened the powerball I noticed that one of the two holes in the rotor support band was 2.5 times as large as it should be and big particles of the rotor support band were remaining between the rings, which created the noise. Furthermore, the washer one the same side was completely wasted. I might put some photos online later this week.
But the bad thing of all this is, that I needed to put in my spare rotor support band (and I changed to blue ring too, to be sure) and its even worse.... because these rotor supportbands are different from the ones for the normal powerballs .

Different rotor support bands? In what way? I've only studied mine briefly, but I thought they were the same as any other?
That's a shame really, but there's so much more torque from the Metal rotor that the components aren't going to last as long. Would've thought they could perhaps reinforce the holes in the rotor support band though, as deformities in these holes are a regular occurrence. Perhaps a metal rotor support band? _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

What I understood from Rory is that the problem is to find the right material having the right friction coefficient as the current rotor support band and still having a higher endurance. Moreover, metal over metal is forbidden combination as that creates sparks (which could be a nice view, but is also dangerous ).
The Force
P.S. The difference in supportbands is the fact that the rotor supportband of the metal does not have an extension for receiving the counterweigth/magnet . The rotor of the metal is symmeterical and so it does not fit on a normal rotor supportband. _________________ Personal records:

Ah, yes, I see what you mean, but a metal reinforcement around the hole, coated with very strong plastic, might prevent the hole getting bigger.

Of course, yes, but my first Powerball and the IronPower all have no counterweight, so the rotor support band on all of them is symmetrical. I've effectively got three spares! _________________ 250Hz: (L/R)

Some of your record are added on the videos section Adrena1in, and I put also online the last record of MJ
But for the pictures of your metal powerball, adrena1n, I don't know if I will put them somewhere because soon I ll put online my translation of the metal test... _________________ Help Gyrotek when you buy your Powerballs, use our banner:International, France, Thanks!!
