Just watched Jeremy's video. Very strange indeed. It looks as if he tries several speed runs right in a row, then the score reads the highest speed. But I think he wastes all of his energy doing that.

I've seen several of his speed runs and he always does it...he always hits top speed on the first "peak" also, so I suppose yes, he is almost wasting his time with the other peaks. But he's pretty new to Powerballing...lord help us when his technique improves!

Mm, I didnt realize he reaches his peak on the first burst. So instead of a waste of energy, its more a waste of energy AND time.

I do a bit of powerball sometimes, but I've decided to stop trying records until 2007. My fingers are not that bad, but they have not healed, and I don't like that.
Some time ago my goal was 15k. Now it is not. I think I will break 13k with metal as soon as my grip is comfortable. But my number One Goal is to teach my left hand.
Anyway, Pako never gives up...

Some injuries do take ages to heal. After my marathon my finger joints felt fine really, but I had a numb right-ring-finger. Now that I've rested a lot I find that my fingers joints are starting to hurt a bit, and it's worrying me.
I think I should still use the Powerball everyday, to keep everything in shape. Hopefully I'll be able to attent the chat tomorrow to see what I can do.

Looks like it might be Jeremy Goldsmith from the UK. Check out
Graph shows that he clearly surpassed 15k, but just didn't hold it long enough.

Looks like its the opposite hand!!  It sounds like it stays over 15k for a fairly large portion of time, just not long enough to record it. He managed to hold back the war cry this time too....

I know. He's been Powerballing 5 or 6 months, always concentrating on his right, (but using his left). A few weeks ago he decided to change to his left hand, and then this.
I was the same a couple of years ago I suppose, mostly doing better with my right, using my left a bit more and beating my all time speed record, but it took months, not weeks. And I only scored 13500, not 15000!!

Never has this race been so exciting. Four potential 15kers between 5th and 11, and another 5 "current" Ballers from 14th to 19th.
My money's on Jeremy, but Duane's making very steady and regular progress.

Hey Duane,
I checked your vid with the spectro and it seems to be a real 15,2k. Congratulations but your goal is 16,4k + isn't it? so there is still work to do
Another thing, you right hand acceleration is good, but your left hand acceleration is weird, it seems like you try to accelerate the rotor faster than he can...
