on monday live-comp, I broke my record. Now 14848.
(video on gyrotek@gmail.com)
A funny thing happened to me: I also broke my Metal record, 12600, and had a video for it. But it was really the 14848 video, that I thought I had lost. I didn't find any file named 14848 on my hard disk, and that drove me crazy, and tried again and again to break my record... I could only achieve 14801... So, after 5 hours of live-comp, i decided to stop, and compress my Metal_12600.avi, but it was in fact 14848 record. So, I thank God for this miracle ;-)

Well..it's kinda frustrating. I have already taken rest for over 1 month now. But the pain is not gone completely.
The problem is however that my other sport, volleyball, is also stressing my fingers a lot. I have the impression that especially my thumbs heal much slower because of volleyball. Maybe, I will start using the powerball again, but then at very moderate speeds (below 8k) and see if this improves the healing process. Let's hope I will resist the tempation to really go for high scores again.

That's always the problem isn't it. When I say I'm resting, what I mean is that I'm not going for high scores. The only spinning I've been doing this week is in my car, to and from work. Just work the Powerball at about 6k, with occasional bursts to about 10k. But it's always tempting to go for some high scores.
I'm still getting slight pains in my right hand middle two fingers, plus after a fairly hard session at the weekend my right shoulder was hurting, but that's completely gone already, so just a short-term injury. I'm on holiday from Friday for a week and I won't take a Powerball with me, so it'll be a proper rest.

What, no plans to increase your left arm score? Remember what The Force says, your Dual-Run is probably limited by your slowest hand. Your left is even slower than mine! (Only 32 revs mind you, but still slower.) If you get that up to nearer the 14k mark then I think 27k dual will be easy, and you'll be knocking on the door of 28k.
